Intensive Moscow's Strikes Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has escalated attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and applying penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles attacked energy facilities, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the territory, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were anticipating further attacks.
